It is AGM time again! Our virtual AGM is scheduled for 7:00 pm, Wednesday June 9th, 2021. Members will receive an email with a Zoom invite, ballot and voting instructions.
The EAY Board is so excited for this AGM as it is here that we will roll out our five year strategic plan! A huge thank you to board member Angela Lehwald for leading the process and a huge debt of gratitude for Sue Meikle who facilitated the process and went above and beyond to produce a plan that will provide the map for our activities in the future. We were lucky enough to have Erin McBryan on the team to develop, collate and analyze the Yukon wide horse questionnaire that will feed EAY programs and strategic plan.
We have been lucky to have an amazing board this year and with the strategic plan we will need some new board members! If you are interested in joining a team leading the way for equestrian sport in the north, or know someone who you think could contribute, we have attached a nomination form. Deadline for nominations is June 7th at 6:00 pm.
At this AGM we will have two special resolutions:
1. A motion to reserve the ability to raise membership fees if we are unable to obtain enough additional funding to bring on a part time administrator.
2. A motion to amend EAY’s constitution, to remove the following from it’s objectives: '"facilitate the development of equine-related infrastructure in the Yukon”.
Therefore we have attached a copy of the Equine Association of Yukon constitution.
This is a complicated time! Not as easy as arriving to the AGM and enjoying the company of friends, eating some pizza and voting in some amazing volunteers. However, EAY continues to work for the equestrian community in Yukon and we need your help! So nominate, vote, and come to the Zoom meeting and let’s catch up!
